Our region consistently ranks as one of the most polluted metropolitan areas in the country. Our air is improving, however, thanks to the efforts of individuals, businesses, agencies and organizations in our communities that go above and beyond to help clean our air. Each year in May, we recognize and thank Clean Air Champions for their outstanding efforts to help improve air quality in our region at the annual Clean Air Awards Luncheon.
Clean Air Award Nominations
Clean Air Award nominations are gathered from the public and are judged by a "Blue Ribbon Panel" of community leaders. We are excited to announce that this year our nomination categories have changed. The three categories are:
- Sustainability
- Leadership
- Innovative Strategy

If you know an individual, business or organization that has been going above and beyond to improve the air in our region, please click here to nominate them for a 2012 Clean Air Award. Nominations are now open and are due by January 31, 2012.

Clean Air Awards Luncheon
The 36th Annual Clean Air Awards Luncheon will be held May 18, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Sacramento State's Ballroom at the University Union.
Tickets are $40 each, or you can sponsor a table of 10 for $400. Tickets will be available for purchase in April. Event sponsorships are also available – click here for more information.
